What's in the air @Oracle Openworld 2014

Just came out of the keynote of day 2, the first speaker Dr. Didier Bonnet, SVP and Global Practice Leader at Capgemini  focused on Digital transformation of business. He used examples of Starbucks, Asian Paints, Vail and so on... ""Digital technology will remain the endless agitator of the business world."   It was good to hear GE's Industrial Internet as a transformative concept.

Thomas Kurien spoke at the later half and had several invited folks to show the live demo of many new offerings on the Cloud, Big Data and Analytics front. It was interesting to see the demo using SQL Developer to show the speed-up due to use of in-memory computing. I posted a lot of images from the keynote from my Twitter account    It was interesting to see that Thomas covered mainly Technology topics topics today as against "Applications" topics.

More to come...
