Oracle Business Intelligence Applications 7.9.6.2 is out

Oracle Business Intelligence Applications 7.9.6.2 is out, major features:

1) Now JD Edwards Supply Chain Connectors are available
2) Peoplesoft 9.1 support is available
3) OBIEE 11g can be used with 7.9.6 by following the infrastructure upgrade guidelines in Doc 1196943.1 ( I can't seen to find it though on support.oracle.com)

It seems the next major release of Oracle BI Apps 7.9.7 will be ODI centric and will also support SAP as data source. Interesting to see how is the Informatica centric customer base impacted, once ODI option is out.

As i had stated earlier that next release would focus on SAP connectors... BI Apps 7.9.7 is now out with ODI based Connectors for SAP. It is still based on OBIEE 10g. The next set of BI apps will be based on OBIEE 11g...
